What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated: 12 September 2026
Kaani100 sells legally verified land in Tiruchirappalli. To do that we need to know who is enquiring and how to reach them. This page explains exactly what we hold, and what we do not do with it.
Who we are
This site is operated by Kaani100, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India.
For anything on this page, including requests about your own data, contact us at the address on our contact page.
What we collect
We collect information in five places, and nowhere else:
- When you create an account — your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash; nobody at Kaani100 can read yours. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google instead of a password.
- Your account details — the full name, mobile number and buyer/seller preference you enter on your account page. We use these to fill in enquiry forms for you.
- When you enquire about a property — your name, mobile number, and any message you write, along with which property you asked about.
- When you use the contact form or register as a buyer — your name, email address, mobile number, country, what kind of enquiry it is, and your message.
- When you submit land to sell — the details and photos of the property, linked to your account so we know who submitted it.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and follow up about land you asked about.
- To let you sign in, and to verify that your email address is real.
- To fill forms in for you, so you are not retyping your own details.
- To review and publish a listing you have submitted for sale.
We do not use your details for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing email you did not ask for.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass your contact details to landowners, banks or other agents. An enquiry you send goes to the Kaani100 team.
We do rely on a few service providers to run the site. They only handle your data to provide their service to us:
- Brevo — sends our email. When you submit an enquiry, an alert containing your name, contact details and message is emailed to our team, and account emails such as verification and password resets are sent through Brevo too.
- Google — if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Render — hosts the site and its database.
- Google Analytics — statistics about how the site is used: which pages are viewed, roughly where from, and on what device. Not your name, email address or phone number.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Content loaded from other companies
Almost everything on these pages is served from this site's own servers, including the typefaces and the icons, so loading a page tells no other company anything about you. There are two exceptions. When your browser fetches them it reveals your IP address to that company, whether or not you interact with them, and we think you should know which:
- Google Maps — the location maps on property pages and the contact page. Google may set its own cookies through these maps.
- Google Analytics — the script that counts visits, on every page. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
Cookies and analytics
Two cookies are strictly necessary and are always set: one keeps you signed in, and one protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, so we know which parts of this site are actually useful. It sets its own cookies to tell one visit from the next, and it records which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what kind of device it was on. It is not given your name, email address or phone number.
We use it to understand the site, not to identify you. We have not enabled Google's advertising or remarketing features, we run no advertising pixel, and there is no other third-party tracker anywhere on this site. We do not sell what it records.
If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site, and your browser's own "block third-party cookies" setting or a private window will also do it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and contact records for up to three years from our last contact with you, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Your account details are kept for as long as your account exists. After that, or whenever you ask, we delete them.
Google Analytics keeps its own records for 14 months, after which Google deletes them. The totals we see in its reports are not affected.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date. If you have an account you can change your name and mobile number yourself, at any time, on your account page.
- Delete your information and close your account.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.
- Complain to us, and to the Data Protection Board of India if we have not put things right.
Write to us at the address above and we will respond. There is no charge.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to enquiry records is limited to the Kaani100 team. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not keep card or bank details on this site at any point.
Children
This site is meant for adults buying and selling land. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and move the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
